About Us

BDK Services offers youth theatre classes to students in grades 2 to 7 in Strathmore and the surrounding area. 2023–2024 classes take place once per week, with separate classes offered for students in grades 2–4 and grades 5–7.

Students will explore different parts of the theatrical process and will end the session with an open day when family can come to watch and be part of their final time together.

BDK's Youth Theatre Classes is run by Lynn, Mandy, and Chelsea, who combine for decades of experience working with youth, teaching, and in the theatre.

Lynn

Lynn has been involved with community theatre and youth theatre participation since 1997. She has worked with groups including Ptarmigan Ptheatrics, Parcel of Rogues, Lunchpail Theatre, Bella Dance, Theatre on the Lake, and more.

Mandy

Mandy has been a part of Calgary Young People’s Theatre and participated in a variety of acting classes. She has been teaching elementary students in Strathmore for 16 years. She has also helped organize and direct a variety of school theatre productions.

Chelsea

Chelsea has been a cast member at Disney World where she organized activities for children and presented to large groups. She is a trained singer and loves to express herself creatively through design and costuming.
